I feel I have to respond to this:
Ffactor: I'm going to cut you some slack and ignore you insults to all Australians.
Let's just stick to the issue. When the US embassies in Africa were bombed in the 1990's hundreds of Africans and comparatively few Americans were actually killed. Still, these attacks were aimed against America with complete contempt against all the other innocent bystanders who were also killed.
When the Sari nightclub was bombed on Saturday this attack was not aimed against Indonesia in general. It was aimed at the international travellers who were visiting that club, again with complete contempt for all innocent bystanders. Many of those international travellers were Australians, so this attack was aimed against Australia as well as all the other nations represented.
I apologize for my momentary lapse of reason but I still don't see why this was an attack against Australians and not everyone!!
As for Australians supporting the US in the war against terror. I am sure the US government and Us military commanders don't think of Australians as a useless race. The SAS contingent serving in Aghanistan recently received honors from the US military (I think it was a Brown Star) for their bravery in combat.
Since WWII Australia has supported the US militarily in every campaign where support was requested.
