FEAR THE TURTLE

SV,

God damn bro. Having a tough day over there? Whew.....
On the game though, the most disrespectful thing I have ever seen in Globetrotter history. I used to go to the games @ the Garden and the Coliseum growing up and they had showmen. Real showmen. Guys that could have probably played in the "A" and some guys that actually played in the "A". Some players were tricksters and some had odd talents. Times have sure changed.
They have a kid now, not sure if he was released, but he has a 53 inch vert @ 6-3. He played for memphis with Lorenzen Wright a couple years back. What does he do, sits on the bench. One time NBA All-Star, Cedric C. plays like an aging hero. Olden Polynice was a great NBA role player and college player. I really just don't see a place for the globetrotters anymore in todays game.
Fundamentals are being lost. Kids in playgrounds practice 1 on 1 bullshit moves. These moves are not sound and will not produce second chance scoring opportunities. The game is going towards a show but not in that Globetrotter way. Anybody follow me?

Umm the globetrotters are 19-5 (5th loss last night) against college basketball teams since 1999...

The terps whooooped em... with great 2nd half effort to boot... The Terps have the best backcourt in the nation with Nicholas & Blake... wait till true freshman johnny gilchrest gets some PT, and we play a 3 gaurd... LOOK OUT

FEAR THE TURTLE!!

U of M Basketball or Football PICK YOUR POISON!

SV,
So your a young kid. You should have just said that you weren't alive when Curly was running the point. lol. Do you know what the "Coliseum" is? How about the "Garden"?
Maryland is a talented team and always will be as long as they continue to compile wins. The loss of 4 starters does not seem to be having any sort of negative affect on them. We will see what happens down the stretch. I play with a kid during the summer who plays @ UM now. Good player. Great 3 point shooter! I am sure they will do just fine.

UM will be tough but a repeat seems unlikely.

The guy with teh crazy vertical is Micehal Wilson. I think he's taller than 6-3....6-5 or 6-7? Did you see when he dunked on a 12 foot hoop? Disgusting.

The Trotters are not what they used to be - I remember them at the Garden also.

Following you completely. Grew up playing ball at various parks and while I could do all that fancy shit I never really did because if you really watch it the fancy moves usually don't seem to get you anywhere. All you really need is a quick crossover and a good head fake and you can play with the best of them. At the park I'm currently at there is this kid named Derrik. 6'3", huge vert. and the longest arms I've ever seen. He has never played organized basketball, but he just got a scholarship to UCLA. Might be someone to watch if he can get his mind away from park ball into a set system.
