Tents for China

I keep hearing on the news that the Chinese people need tents to help the survivors of the earth quake.

Does the US even manufacture tents any more? This seems, to me, somehow hideously ironic.

I was just in the POW forun and I'm pitching a tent right now. Maybe some 19 yr old chinese girl could stay there for a while

Why would they go getting tents? One would think that they would use trailors or whatever like people here in the U.S do after we have issues

I worked for a huge tire company that exported tires over to China. When the crew of Americans unloaded the tires into a warehouse, they left the container behind for a few weeks. By the time they came back to get the container, there was a family of six living in the container.

I agree, we all need to experience "true life" in another country once in awhile, right? It is VERY sad.

I work with tons of Chinese people (they are good at math, finance and economics) and they are really nice people.

Fuck the government over there though.

My Brianna is best friends with a lil boy from China. Long has been in this country for 6 years now- BRILLIANT kid! He wants to become a brain surgeon. Sweeeet lil boy and I think a very good "friend mentor" for my lil girl. She's even learned to speak some Chinese too.

Anyhoo, I agree, Chinese people are very "family" based and loving people. It's a shame their govy is iron fist ruled.

Most are generally nice. Some are very arrogant, i.e. some Chinese in Canada. Maybe cause they're half the population.
