tendons

im 4 weeks into test/deca/eq cycle but a couple of old injuries have flared up as ive upped my weight.my left arm bicep tendons are sore and my right arm tricep tendons are same.training all muscle groups hurt so im having a full week off.do you think i should stop cycle and rest longer or carry on cycle and come back but train light and more cardio.

Might as well train lighter, do more cardio and try to get ripped. Its summer anyhow. Dont blow a tendon out trying too hard.

yeah just pissed off because strength was really coming big time.more into strength than bb my bf is 18% so im not the leanest

Sometimes i just get tendonitius in my elbows. I take a few advils before the gym and it goes away in a few weeks.

Tricep tendons injury's are the worst...It's not going to heal in 2 or 3 days....If your at the begining of cycle id say stop, only because its not going to heal if you keep lifting on it.Unless your lucky or how bad it is..Been there done that ruined a good cycle for me....GL

the tricep injury is slight.its the bicep which is really sore.doesnt help that my job is physical too.taking anti inflams and icing.

Tendon injuries are quite common with steroid application ... muscles become stronger and cortisol get suppressed enough to push through the normal pain barriers ,but those poor tendons get no help at all .

4 weeks in i wouldn't stop ... if anything go after your legs like there's no tomorrow if you can't work upper body , i did that once when i had a rotator cuff injury half way through a coucre .

Tell you one thing ... thats the best my legs ever looked in my entire life because i was hitting them on average 3 times aweek .

Totaly your call .. stop the cycle and save the gear for a later date or keep your levels up and change your training platform till your healed up properly .

The suppression of cortisol suppresses the level of perceived pain...where did you come up with that?!

What i meant to imply was in normal cortisol function , cortisol converts protiens to energy, releasing glycogen and counteracts inflamation .

Sorry for the confusion .. i know what i was thinking but typed something else ..

Think you still get the point though , we all know that during steroid treatments the muscle grow way faster then the tendons have a chance of catching up to so injuries are quite common when training heavy .

Im in the exact same situation bro. My right bicept/forearm/elbow is fuckin KILLING ME. Its kept me from being able to train my arms for almost 2 months now.

I had an injury like this with my knee last year and it took easily 6 months to heal. Thats the only reason I havent stopped taking gear and/or working out because i know its going to take such a long time to recover. I just train what I can as hard as I can, and lightly hit my arms until I cant stand the pain.

I have roughly 4 more weeks left on my 18 week cycle.

Im taking Test520/Deca500 every week. I dont know what i did to fuck my right arm off, but man its been jacked for a while. Fuckin sucks... my biceps could be sooo much bigger now than they are... bleh! :worried:

It won't help immediately with the pain, but you ought to throw in some gelatin. RADAR uses it and credits it with keeping his joints healty and relatively pain-free.

I agree with the other bros about lighter weight/more reps. You could alternate weeks between heavy and light....

Could add Var also - it has been shown to increase collagen synthesis. But Deca does the same thing so you may have your bases covered.

See a chiro, get some ART done, works wonders. Stretch, ice, advil......Deca should be helping, i never hurt on cycle.

Try to stay away from advils the active ingredient is a anti inflamitory which means your pump will imediately disapear when you stop training and you will lose that valuable after pump to feed your muscles.

Bro. I got excellent relief after 6 or 7 visits to an acupunturist for tendonitits in the bicep/elbow last year. I never stopped lifting either, so I was pretty pleased when it just went away and it hasent came back bad enough since to affect my lifting. You can also look into Aflutop, some are reporting alot of relief with it.

From what ive read about aflutop, its just glycoseaminoglycans (GAGs) that are poly sulfated......basically sulfated glucosamine and chondritin in injectable form, the better the sulfated, the bettter the outcome.

Hey Bigrand, I'm pretty sure that is the ingedients in Adequan, not
Aflutop. I havent been to the Aflutop website in awile, but from what I remember its a fish oil and herb base.

Ice and anti-inflamatories will prolong the injury since they suppress the bodies natural healing cascade. Sure they make ya feel better but there is a cost.

Zyg, theres a name i havent seen in a bit...
I thought Aquedan was human grade Aflutop (vet)...must have misread....

I actually cant find ANY info on Alfutop. There are several sites that mention it, but none of them actually say what the shit is!

Hey Bigrand,

Alflutop is made by Biotehnos and here is what they say about it:

Alflutop is a natural product with high efficacy therapeutical properties proved by tests and studies performed for over 18 years.

Alflutop, conditioned as injetable solution, contains in 1 ml solution 10 mg bioactive concentrate (amino acids, low molecular mass pepetides, mucopolusaccharides, trace elements: Na, K Ca, Mg, Fe, CU, Zn), maximum 5 mg/ml phenol as preservative.

Alflutop belongs to the group of chondroprotective products having antihyaluronidase, antiinflammatory and analgesic action. Inhibits hyaluronidase excess.

It is normally administered at 1ml daily for a course of 21 days.

Adequan is acutually vet grade and the mfg did make a human grade product also that was used in european countries, I cant remeber the name of the human one but it was pulled from the market last year.

Sorry man but I gotta disagree with you there. I was in a sling for a partial tendon rupture ( 6 weeks ) and didnt ice or take ibuprofin and got ZERO healing, fuckin thing hurt just as bad when I took it out. I started the ice and ibuprofin and made MAJOR gains in healing of the tendon, was back in the gym in 2 weeks. I re-injured it later but right now Im like 85%+. I take ibuprofin nearly every day and ice it down after every upper body workout. Has been working great.

mucopolysaccharides are glucoseamine and chondritin.....sounds like the stiff is quite similar.
Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that degrades hyaluronic acid.

Basically same as the oral Glu/chon/msm combo.
