Was watching some cable tv last night when I came across some talk show where the Motor City Madman was a guest. He of course was promoting hunting & made a comment which I found interesting. He said that venison (deer meat) was the highest source of protein that there was. Of course he was talking about a hundred miles an hour as usual, hehehe...but for being 54 years old, he seemed to be in pretty decent shape. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here had ever used venison as a protein source vs the usual egg whites, fish, chicken, etc. I also wondered what % of fat content there was in venison. Is it comparable to red meat as far as fat goes??? I know my wife would probably kill me if I ever brought deer meat into the house....but I'm still curious if the Wildman's statement holds any truth to it.
