About 6 years ago I decided to get a tribal band on my right arm. This was before alot of people had them and I thought it was pretty original. Well, now everytime someone sees my tattoo they think it looks gay. I mean are tribal bands that gay? I was thinking of getting something tribal on my back that goes from shoulder blade to shoulder blade and also runs down my shoulders. Would this be considered gay? I know the important thing is that I like it but I don't want everyone saying how gay it is everytime I take off my shirt. This shit pisses me off. I'm tired of people telling me how gay my tatto is. Does anyone else here with tribal bands has this same problem? Do yall think they are saying it is gay because everyone seems to have one nowadays? Thanks in advance.

You answered your own question. You shouldn't worry what other people think about your tattoo. It is on YOUR body, right? Forget what they say and do what you want to do!

Thanks Night Fly. That's what I needed to hear. It just pisses me off sometimes hearing someone say that my tattoo is gay. One of my friends told me it was gay today and he just finished getting a tattoo of obi wan canobi on his calve. Now if that ain't gay.lol

I actually have a big tribal on my back and being extended down my arms, PLUS I happen to sympathize with your buddies Star Wars obsession, I am getting the Empire logo and the alliance logo on each calf.

I apologize. I love star wars too I just couldn't personally see me getting any star wars tattoos on myself. But we're all different.

deppends. if it looks original and your drew it up yourself it is probably cool. if it's just something you picked out of a tattoo artists book it is probably the same thing 100,000 others have, so it's not that great. but if you like it, that's all hat matters right? nothing you can do about it now

They're not your friends if they say your tattoo is "gay". All that matters is that you like it. I have a tribal band and have never had anyone say anything like that. I could care less if they did though cuz I like it. Only let quality people into your life and you won't have that problem because the people you don't know that say shit like that don't matter anyway. That's my thoughts anyway, but what the hell do I know?
