You cant see them to well from a far when your all oiled up......I dont think it makes a difference.
on one his forearms- I think it's the bulldog(can't remember) under it says skins 69-80 or something like that. Heard he was an old Oi! from way back- not necessarily the Nazi skins like from here in the US. Skins in England were different, more Nationalistic than racist.
Heard his nickname used to be shadow.

From what I've read, he isn't racist.. there are a few different kinds of skinheads, he was a "good one".. of course, I don't suppose he would brag about if he was the bad kind. But he did say he got the boot tat removed because people were assuming he was a racist when he isn't.

I wonder if any other bodybuilers looked at those as offensive. It's true that there are many different type of skinheads but most of the public is seeing them as racists and/or anarchist.
In the eyes of many, Yates might be seen as a racist, but only he knows the true symbol of his tats.
In any case, if he is racist, then that is sad and he has some fucked up morals. Granted, he accomplished one of the best and great bodies in BBing, but if he is racist then that wipes out all of his accomplishments.
I am white/italian and I dont care about who is what color....etc. The way I see it.....if your ignorant then I HATE YOU.

I'm a little rusty on bodybuilder names) under his wing? Ernie was and still is black.....some racist huh. The Temple Street gym is also in Birmingham, UK. That is about as multi-cultural as the UK does.....would you live there if you were a racist?

Actually Dorien had a Dr. Martin boot with Skins '90 on one arm and a British Bulldog with a Union Jack behind it on the other. He had the Skins one removed when he became Mr. Olympia as it was politically incorrect to have the Mr. O with a racist tattoo and he had the other removed later. The Union Jack is also seen as a racist symbol by some people like the BNP.
