i was outside the bar one night, having a smoke. saw a cruiser pull over a van. it was about a block away, so i could see good, but not hear anything. was nothing special until this dudes gun goes off and shoots this black chick in the face. in a matter of 5 minutes, the entire street was filled with cruisers and firetrucks and ambulances. gridlock'd. driving on grass, no one could leave the bar, or wanted to. kinda fucked up our saturday night, cuz it kept the street blocked for hours. turns out this guy was fresh and she made a move he didn't like. she lived, too. bullet went right thru her temple and out the corner of her eye.
`bout 5 years before that, a kid i went to HS with got shot in the throat in the parking lot of the party store right next door. i think he's quadrapalegic. if he's alive.

that hedielberg project was pretty cool, imo. he took a bunch of worthless shit and made something out of it. i saw it once or twice, but a long time ago and was too stoned or drunk to really remember details.
i'm kinda bummed how easily the city is giving up on anything recreational. the aquarium at belle isle is gone & those fucks own the zoo, which is located in Royal Oak (which is about the coolest part of michigan, night life wise).
