Uh, I bought new phones, there's a main unit and then a bunch of plug in no phone jack kind and when someone calls it announces who is calling - like a speaking caller ID.

It's freaking me out.

I would have that crap turned off so fast. lol My grandmother has one like that cause it takes her too long to put her glasses on to see the caller ID. lol By the time she gets to it, the caller has hung up or the 'man' (her answering machine) answers.

It does have a light feature that shows if it's someone you know - you can actually set it - so that's cool.

pretty soon everything will be intergrated with your cell phone so your home calls will go directly to your cell. i know they already have it but its not popular yet. soon like everything else it will be.

Yes and I do too.
That's really how I check all my messages and I save all the wav files.

I'm big on email too - I have records of everything in writting which is a godsend with clients.

holy crap your intertwind all over the place. you cant ever say im not in my office or i missed your call. i hate when people call my cell phone but im not in a position to answer and then after they dont leave a voicemail they text 2 seconds after the call with a nasty text like im avoiding them. people have no patience these days.

I've trained my clients - everyone has a set day and time of day per week where I'm theirs period all other times they can email me or leave me a message. I tell them this upfront and I also tell them that I return all my calls outside of emergencies two times a day.

I don't check messages on Sundays period.

Most of them are professionals so they get it and the rest... well, we don't need be working together.

I do have one builder though that doesn't get it - he will call over and over and over thinking that he will get attention and everything is an emergency.
