Talking about sex in public.

Does anyone elese get pissed off that it's often still taboo to talk about sex in public at all? E.g in work....seems that because of so many bs laws a man almost has to pretend that he isn't a sexual person. You never know when such a natural subject could "offend" someone. Women probably get away with a lot more.

I'm guessing it's even worse in the US.

Can not talk about it in the work place. Get sued if you do.
Check with BLUE about that. She sues for saying hello. Crazy bitch.
WHAT'S UP!!!

Sigh.

Right back at it, are we?

Please, give it a rest.

From what i remember, her case was more of a harsassment one where it was persistant. If a woman makes it clear that she doesn't like something then the guy should stop.

But that isn't what i'm talking about. I mean just talking about any aspects of sex in public. Women especially are often so shocked or disgusted by a man showing any sign of sexuality. Especially if, God forbid, he has a partner already and is not talking about sex with her.

Dude - NO ONE LIKES YOU! FACE IT. Kill yourself.
I was gone and had several threads about me.
Good and bad but any PR is good PR.
DEAL and DIE.
For real, you look like Uncle Fester from the Adam's Family.
Just end it already, no one will miss you!

Part 1) It's tough for guys though, cause women don't directly communicate very well. Shit, how many times have you been told "no" only to later find yourself wristdeep in her inside your car? Exactly. Plus, women give off TONS of nonverbal signs that say "please validate me sexually". It's a tough path we walk.

Part II) It doesn't bother me much. Honestly, I try to separate my life-life and work life. Therefore, I have no need to discuss my johnson with any of my coworkers. I still do, but those are my friends.

Your not even worth my time. I never said anything bad about anyone till some made some rude comments about me and my wife. Of course I am going to say shit back.
I kept it positive and still do with most. There are a select few that I get negative with and they know why. Plain and simple.

sadly if a woman is bothering a man, he should just "tough it out" and if he says something retaliatory he is frowned upon anyway.

also, its sort of sad to see women be so judgemental when it comes to talking about sex, especially because more often than not the woman had her fare share of slutting it out in their youths

well.. it's not so much that people are prudes..

I say it's more that americans started some crazy sue fest for about the past 20 years..

where as women can probably talk about sex.. as much as they want.. and probably even harass men about it.. and nothing will come of it..

men can't really talk about it at all.. especially not in the office..

stupid sue fest..

lol...exact opposite of my work environment. Being in an old boys network means you make certain allowances for old boys talk. And god forbid I show even a sign of sexuality. That's life, it's not that big of a deal. As far as I'm concerned it's a very small concession to make since I don't think the workplace is a good forum for my private activities and thoughts. Every one of us deals with a double standard somewhere in our lives.

Yeah that is a big part of it. But i think people are prudes also.

You go to some European countries and people are so much more open about sex. Men are "allowed" to be men there and women are much more open about sex too. It's quite refreshing. Damn if you go to Amsterdam then the sex shops are next to mcdonalds and family stores. Yet in UK or US if you even mention sex in public then people are shocked. The only time you can get away with it is when going out at night. It's sad. Still, could be worse...least we don't get stoned for it.

Pretty much.

I tended bar for many years. Stuff was said to me that would make even the most potty-mouthed sex-starved test-brimming e-stud wannabee blush and for the most part, all I could do was to ignore it. If it was somewhat funny, I would smile or continue the joke (my income depended on my affability). It the comments were offensive I would usually pretend I didn't hear them. I would only have a guy bounced if he actually tried to touch me.

Once I became older and more experienced I would confront guys eye to eye that were straight up out of order and embarrass the shit out of them. 100 percent of the time, this worked.

Because I live in the south now, I must reel myself in quite a bit..... we are talking NO SEXUAL innuendo or cussing of any sort. I am very easy-going and not easily offended, however, I am always mindfull not to offend anyone else. As for the good ole boys, yea I am in the world of oil and gas. It don't get much more good ole boy than that. For the record, NO MAN has ever offended me by cussing or talking of sex... but I believe that has more to do with my husband's presence than anything else.

I find it peculiar that because I am a man's wife that this seems to command more respect. I dont really know why that is as I am the same woman before I married him....

Some people aren't getting the point of this thread, whcih isn't about harassment.

I got it and addressed it.

I dont get what the big deal about discussing sex is either. Hello, that is how we all got here...

But as I said, I live in the south now so I have to be carefull so as not to offend anyone else. LOL
