Taking time off lifting during pct?

Typo

New member
I've read about this a few times lately and wanted to hear what you guys think of it and if anyone on here does this?

I don't think you should take time off but you gotta be careful not to overtrain in pct... So I would just shorten your work outs to stay within the 45-60min range... But with high intensity.

Yeah i wouldnt either. Like ALL said it would be easy to overtrain if you lifted like you were still on, but i wouldnt stop. After all your goals are to keep all the hard earned muscle you put on.

Time off AFTER PCT sounds more like it.

I actually experianced true "overtraining" after my last cycle. I kept killing it into pct and started waking up tired as F every day and sore as SHIT for days. If thats not overtrained I dont know what is.

That being said, my nutrition is NEVER what it should be. Honestly I eat like shit and IF I get enough calories in the day, alot of will come from fats(not good ones either)

I think with someone who is eating how they should be, it would be VERY hard to be "overtrained".

This is an exaggeration but you'll get the drift............THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "OVER-TRAINING" just "UNDER-EATING!!!!"

now you can "over-train", but most likely.....your just under eating

I never advocate taking time off ever, unless your hurt and cant physically do it. My remedy for pct is deloading and less volume. Your body cant handle the weights it did on cycle and trying to train like you do on cycle will lead to overtraining and consequently loss of progress. I deload the first 2 weeks of pct then I gradually increase weight and volume over the last 2 weeks of pct. After pct I am back to normal, training hard and not burned out. This is important for making natural gains after a cycle for me. If I just stop lifting for a couple weeks I will lose progress and spend precious time recovering what I lost. The deload works great for recover and allows me to maintain my current level.

you better have your absolute A game on during PCT. not the time to chill, take it easy, or relax.

find a system that works for you and kill it.

Yeah, definitely not the time to take a break, IMO. You need to kill it with all the intensity you had while "on". Keep eating the same, don't let up. Gotta work to hold most of the gains.

it is one time i like taking pre workout NOS boosters and having a high carb shake.. its like 'fake' pumps for me.

also there are a lot of great supps to take during pct that can help you out. just find out what works for you.

Taking time off during PCT is the worst time to take time off the gym. Your diet and training are more important than ever when in PCT trying to recover.

Just complete PCT, wait a couple weeks at least, then take a short time off ;)
