Taking "sick" <wink, wink> days

How many sick days do you all take a year? I have this thing about taking days off...I don't do it

Somehow it feels ok to sit here on Elite Chat & Convo all day long, but completly out-of-the-question to take a sick day.

I get one sick day and one vacation day a month. I usually end up taking the sick time for one reason or another. I try not to fake sickness in the warm weather. Last time it was my back- that damn L5 went out again. LOL.

I get 40 hours sick pay during the year. If I don't take any I get a t-shirt and a 25$ gift certificate.



Let's see 40 hours at 22$ an hour or a t-shirt and gift certificate.

No no no...I only surf Elite when I'm at work. Not at home.

If this were a "skip" day I would be at a park with my son right know, enjoying an amazingly beautiful day in the sun

Once every couple of months I take a "mental health" day.

An unscheduled day off every now and again helps recharge the batteries.

I have only taken two sick days in the last 7 years... and what has it gotten me?

A lot less time off....

I have*looks at pay stub* 181 hours of sick on tap and 16 hours of personal.

I'm eating them up like crazy because I'm leaving the company in Oct.

So basically my work week is from Tuesday to Thursday. With half a day on Wednesday.

I OWN MY OWN BUSSINESS SO I DON'T GET ANY DAYS OFF EXCEPT SUNDAYS CAUSE THATS WHEN I'M CLOSED OTHER THEN THAT IM A WORKAHOLIC. BUT WHEN ITS SLOW IN HERE I GET TO TALK TO ALL YOU LOVLEY PEOPLE.
