so you're saying
if i take a cat scan while in the ER (because of chest pains) and the radiologist discovers a growth that looks suspicious and then sends the film to my familly care physician telling him to follow up with new pics in two wks but my doctor does'nt bother looking at it and by the time he does the tummor has gotten so big they can't opperate any more, and it is now terminal

so my kids now grow up with out a father, low income probaly end up on welfare because my HMO thought it to be too expensive to have a failproof policy in place to ensure this kind of mistake doe'nt happen

yeah you are right suing is bad, its all my fault

yes, I very specifically said exactly that. it's like you copied and pasted my exact words into your post.

Read the title of the thread "Taking responsibility of YOUR OWN actions". If you scre up, accept the reprocussions. If somebody else screws up your life, sue the piss out of them.

yeah i know, i'm just bustin his balls for fun

ah. Not to be the token rebel w/o a cause but i disagree.

Taking responsibility usually follows fucking up. FUcking up usually follows getting caught. Someone who is caught doing something illegal or wrong must 'face responsibility' but someone smart enough to get away does not have to face the pressure.

Secondly, the strong never accept responsibility. Look at politiicans, they scapegoat each other for everything. Even the republicans who run on responsibility blame liberals for everything wrong on earth. When 9/11 happened, attempts to figure out what the US did wrong (which i dont' think we did do anything wrong) to encourage 9/11 were shouted down. being strong or part of a large group ensures avoidance of responsibility. Did Uday accept responsibility for the lives he destroyed? no but a run of the mill rapist who isn't in power has to.

Third, the strong make the rules and hte punishments for them. The strong can be politicans or the status quo. Either way the strong have all the power.

All in all personal responsibility strikes me as something only the weak, the outcast and those unlucky enough to get caught are required to do. Spend your time avoiding ending up in those scenarios and you never have to take responsibility for yourself again.

For someone who spends a lot of time on an American chat board your insult to all Americans seems very hypocritical and weaselish, or should I say, European.
