Taking Gear From the U.S. to U.K. ???

I'm in the middle of a cycle and have an unscheduled business trip that I have to take from the US to the UK.

QUESTIONS:

1. Is it legal to put 8 empty sealed syringes in my checked baggage on both the US and UK sides if customs decided to open my bags?

2. Assuming #1 is yes, would it I be likely to run into any problems if I just carried 12 amps of test in my pocket? (I'm assuming that this would be the best way since they wouldn't be seen by x-ray or baggage inspection).

1- Not sure about the UK but I think syringes are OTC there.

2- Test is controlled there. At what point ? No idea. Wrongun may be helpful on this one.

You will have no problems at the UK side

In the UK Anabolic steroids are Class C drugs to be sold only by pharmacists with a doctor's prescription. It's legal to possess or import steroids as long as they're for personal use. But possession or importing with intent to supply (which includes giving them to friends) is illegal and could lead to 14 years in prison and an unlimited fine.

if you carried them in your pocket and the metal detector goes off for any reason (keys/belt etc..) you get searched/touched everywhere...

I had a similar issue a few years ago - was in the middle of my first cycle. I checked the gear & pins in. I didn't have a problem, but I probably wouldn't do it now, and personally I wouldn't carry the gear on my person through the checkpoint - I think there's too much risk of a "random" secondary screening, or setting off the detector for my belt or something.
