Taking a week off the gym while on...

I am feeling like shit these past 2 weeks and I am not sure what it is. I think I am overtrained because my body just aches. Then another part of me thinks i might have a bacterial infection from the UG gear I am taking..

I am currently on week 5 of my cycle and I want to take 5-7 days off. Has anyone ever not trained for a week while not on? :confused:
 
its probably better you do take a wk off just keep on eating like you have been training, its better to rest fully imo rather overtrain and ruin your chances of future strength gains.
 
last cycle I took a week off from training and gained 6 lbs. When I got back in the gym I felt awesome, strength was way up, bf% hadnt changed..

I think its a great idea to take a little time off.
 
Yeah I know the answer to this already but man is it hard mentally to take a few days off when your on :(
 
it IS possible to be overtrained EVEN on the sauce..
now... i dont know about a WHOLE week off...
but 3-4 days of rest, food, and sex can do magic.

See wierd thing is this:

My workouts are directly toward low volume muscle failure. For instance on chest days I do about 4-5 sets and im done. This week I did triples:

flyes into straight bar flat bench into straight bar incline bench....times 2. and thats it.

Something is telling me bacteria, dammit
 
Can you go get some antibiotics and knock it out ??? I missed a few days this cycle due to pnemonia. But its a 12 weeker so I dont even notice it happen now. Just keep truckin afterwards, time off is called " Active Recovery " Your not just being lazy your helping your body acheive your goals, give it what it needs...Just keep diet in check. Also what gear is it you may wnt to cook it alittle if there is bacteria so you can solve that problem.

Good post thanks. It is a lab that no one has heard of on this board. I am very anal about my diet so thats what i'll do. So i took yesterday (thursday) off and I will take all the way til probably Wednesday off depending on how i feel.
