tailoring a leather jacket? size too big

well i found an awsome deal on a leather jacket and well i bought it but it a tad too big and wondering a leather jacket (will wear it unziped) can be tailored down for a better fit?

its a size 52 and i believe the waist is 44ish i belive it is considered an (xxl)


and i wear between about an XL any one know about tailoring it so it is smaller ?

any help i would love

go to a good tailer (not a cleaners / tailor) but to a good tailor who is confident they can do it

I did it once with a jacket not leather

but i got it for a a great deal since it is SUMMER and couldnt pass it up


well i called a leather specialist who told me they can take it in and will see what they can do but warned me about the price ...can be kind of step but i got it @ steal price so hey

I dont like the idea of tailoring a leather jacket. Keep in mind, leather retracts once you star wearing it. It will get creases that tighten around the arms, aswell as when it hits rain it will dry and tighten a bit aswell. You bought a 52, and are a 44? Not sure what kind of jacket it is, but I hope its not a bike jacket. Or else it will just look weird.
