Hi. I am currently on T4 for 4 months and all check ups look good.
1. How long should I stay on T3 or T4? 9 months or 3 weeks? What is true?
So i ve been reading a lot.
All articles agree that T3 is very powerful and dangerous. But as all, I would assume if you do it right you ll be fine. Many say not more than 3-4 weeks and then you can read the article Anhony Roberts wrote that states that new studies show that people that were on thyroid hormone for 30 years, recovered relatively quickly, within months. And therefore staying all year round on a low dose such 25mg or 50mg will be fine, same as T4. I will assume, that if this is true, then taking it for a few (7-10) months straight and then stop for 2-3 months to allow thyroid to recover will be the best deal.
And as somebody else posted: is this aggressive? Yes! Is it unsafe? No.
What do you think?
