T3 and women question ?!

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before.

Can women take T3 for weight loss

Can we discuss this here or can someone direct me to some info on this please.

Cheers....

24 years old, female, very strict diet of no carbs, high protein diet. Trains 3 to 4 times a week. Both cardio and lifting few weights. 5 foot 7 inches and 9 stone 6 lbs. she is thin but wants to loose that little extra for toning purposes..... I've used t3 before but not a fan. Any advice most welcome.

Thanks

Sounds to me like she can do it without the use of T3.

If it were me I'd say no, because like you, I'm not a fan. It's a pain in the ass, not to mention potentially dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

You're manipulating your natural thyroid hormone production when you take T3, and if shes 24 and in good shape, why risk it?

for a little extra an eca would probably be the way to go

T3 should be researched by her thoroughly first and I don't share thyroid hormone paranoia but the potential risks and sides need to be thoroughly explored by her

psizzle is right...if shes young and fairly fit otherwise I wouldn't bother tho with a strict no carb diet her thyroid is likely slowed down some
I was just discussing the need for carbs for thyroid functioning with someone last night...cool email discussion
