T-minus 5 days

Well it is five days until my first strongman comp. I have done as much to prepare as I could with the resources I had available. Now it is down to just doing it.

On a side note, I was talking to the people at my tattoo shop and told them that I was going to compete. Without hesitation they asked if I needed sponsors. I was a little taken aback by this as I haven't competed yet, but the offer is pretty cool. I told them I would let them know after this comp for sure. Also there is going to be a fairly large group(10-15ppl) there to support me. Now I just need to not suck.

Have a good time man!

What contest are you doing?

THanks.

It is the Southern Colorado Strongman Invitational. First year it is being held, so hopefully it goes well and they continue it next year.

how did it go man

I posted results in the chat board along with some pics.

I placed fourth in the heavies out of five although one guy got hurt and had to withdraw.

Viking press 250lbs 14reps 2nd place

Tire flip 660lb tire 1 flip 5th place Hands slid off and overstretched my forearms so I backed off instead of really hurtin myself.

Conan's wheel 545lbs 130.5' 4th place go beat by 1' 10' and 81'. Should have pushed for a little more and could have taken second.

Chili pepper carry 345lbs 92.7' 4th place

Atlas stones 1 stone loaded 245lbs. Tried to get the 265 but is slipped out of my grip when I tried to drive it up on the platform. My earlier mishap with the tire played a role in this.

Pretty happy for my first time doing any of the events. Can't wait to do another contest.
