Symmetry problem

I am getting a real symmetry problem. My left peck is easily 25% bigger than my right. My right tri is also about 25% bigger than my left. Also, my left trap is again about 25% bigger than my right.

I am thinking that I am doing some sort of cheat with my DB and BB benches, although that really doesn't explain the trap.

I have tried asking some people at my gym, but when I am there it is a place for soccer moms to do cardio.

Any thoughts about how to diagnose the problem, or better yet, any tips to help me make some changes?

go with db's & hammer for these bodyparts. concentracte on squeezing both sides equally.

is one side raising higher than the other for shrugs?
 
I am having the same issue exactly. I think my left arm has been weaker so it works my pec more making it grow more. Just a theory.

I usually only use Hammer machines when I have no chance for a spotter. I think I'll give them a shot.

Do lots of dumb bells. That will even it out too. Never do more reps with one side than the other.

As I am rehabing from an injury, my right arm is now weaker than my left. I could do almost double the weight with my left arm over my right. When I use DB's for say bench or curls the left side never gets to failure at the same time. I would have to do 10 or so more reps for both side to FEEL the same!

Any suggestions?

so put two and two together bro. One side is bigger, because it's stronger. You need the weak side to catch up. Be patient, and let your weak side catch up to the strong side. Thats what I would do.
 
lol...ok, maybe bblazer can post pics too. Soemtimes things are more glaringly obvious to us than to others.

One of my arms is about 0.50-0.75 inches bigger than the other. I'm the only one that notices.

Everyone is slightly asymmetrical.

Even the pros.

DBs are best for evening things out IMHO.

especially one arm movements. start with your weaker/smaller side and go to failure. do not exceed this number with the other side.

Thanks Tat! But if I use the same weight DB how will that happen? With me the smaller arm is actually the stronger arm due to my injury. If I want it to grow I need to tax it with more weight. So say I am doing curls with the weight my injured arm can handle for 8 reps my smaller good arm can easily do 15. Does that make sense?

I took your advice today & had a great workout. I'm going to limit myself to one arm DB work for the next 4-5 weeks and see if I notice any difference.
