Swollen Lymph Node Glands

I get swollen lymph node glands every year at about the same time of the year. It just started getting pain there yesterday morning, Is there anyway to stop it in its tracks before it gets more painful and bigger (most of the times i ignore it then it gets huge, about the size of a golf ball) its located behind my jaw... any ideas? The doc just gives me antibiotics and never thinks anything about it.

Any other symptoms apart from the swollen nodes?

Have you ever been worked up for NHL (doubt it since your lymph nodes are painful) or autoimmune disorders?
