Not the best thing to eat if cutting lol.

it is not the sweet potatoes - those are fine. it is the brown sugar that is the problem.

sweet potato with splenda and cinnamon - YUM, and MUCH better for cutting.

I use light brown sugar and only use a little bit. Thanks for the advice though :)

Yams and sweet potatos are great. For variety use a cheese grater to dice them up and bake with some pam.

Pureed sweet potatos with small curd cottage cheese tastes really good for a change. You can thin the mixture out with water and add some spices, curry, pepper.... Or mix with vanilla whey, splenda and pumpkin pie spice for a "dessert". Can hardly taste the cottage cheese.

NIIIIIIICE!!

I also like twice-baked sweet potatoes.....Bake the SP, cut in half, scoop out the middle and continue to bake the skin until crisp as desired....Mix the pulp with broth & spices/garlic as desired, place back into the shell & bake until heated through..... :p :p :p :p

I usually cut the sweet potato into long pieces(like french fries)....Season them with Mrs. Dash, sometimes I'll add fresh lemon juice to the mix...Ive also done a sugar free/calorie free strawberry dressing marinade(OH SOOO GOOD) with some flax oil and then sprayed them with cooking spray. Line the pan with either wax paper/foil and line them up ...bake at 375 deg. until crispy> DELICIOUS!!!....

-Also, cinnamon OR apple pie spice and cooking spray PLUS splenda when they are done....IS SO GOOD!!! (Can add raising)....

If you like sweet potatoes, you'll love this: maple syrup squash puree.

Get a large butternut squash, peel, and dice it into 1" chunks. Steam for 15 minutes. In a food processor, place the chunks into the processor along with 3 tablespoons of maple syrup (I use the no-sugar kind -- virtually calorie free), 1 tablespoon of butter (I use the soy stuff), and 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg. Puree until a good consistency.

It's awesome.

(I like to cook... keeps the girls happy though!)

Lite Brown Sugar means nothing in terms of cutting. Sugar is sugar.
HeHeHe. Light just means they made the serving smaller on the package-fuzzy math.

Well, if I'm thinking of the same thing, "Light" when referring to brown sugar refers to the color of the sugar - a light brown as opposed to dark brown sugar.

Here is a good one, and sans sugar.

Cut them up into Texas Fries style. Leave skins on. Light oil spray, very light. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, tumric, cinnamon. Cook 350 for 20-30 mins depending on thickness of fries.

Use macadamian nut oil, MCT Oil and Splenda instead... Macadamian nut oil is 80% Omega3 and Omega6. MCT is completely usable, not stored as fat just burned as energy. That sounds like a good mix.

Throw in 30g Whey, 30g Protein from Chicken Breast, 30g Protein from Beef and you have a meal you can't beat.
