i did im having a blood test on monday, i guess if you drink alot it can enlarge. any vitamins i can take to flush it clean. i havent even started my cycle yet, i went to the doctor just to get my check up and tell him i was going to start. I found out it was enlarged. Should I be worried?

How old are you? Do you have a family history of liver problems (e.g., cirrhosis). Have you been abusing your body (drinking excessively, oral anabolic steroids, etc.)? Have you recently been someplace, like Mexico for instance, where you could have more easily come in contact with hepatitis? Do you eat raw shellfish (oysters or clams)?

naw, no family history of liver problems. I do drink alot, but a month ago I caught strep or something and they gave me 2 shots in the ass. Antibiotics and something else. maybe that has caused my liver to be enlarged. Anyhow I bought a liver cleanse kit at GNC. But I have no fever, no discoloration of my skin. Energy level could be better but i feel ok. what do you guys thinks. Shit i hope I dont have fukin cancer or psoriosis. Ive never had health problems.

Also, if you can't stay clean until you find out whether you have a problem, IMHO you probably already have a problem.

he will next have u get a liver "sonogram" kind of like a liver x-ray, i would heed the advise of the others and chill, the liver is a very resilient organ but u gotta give it time to recover if it is jakked, and forget all the supplements cuz ur liver has to pump those too and will only cause more trouble

i still dont figure out how a doctor can tell your liver is swole without a blood test or sonogram, possibly he knows ur habits and is using a scare tactic

I have liver damage from prolonged use of perscribed anti-inflams, Vioxx, Relefen, etc...I used to get swelling AND liver pain. My doctor told me drink tons of purified water, it's the best liver detox there is. It works. Be careful of what you eat as well, artifical sweetners, artificial colorings, alcohol... diet soda's.. etc.
Some detox compounds actually put added stress on your liver and you don't need that if your enlarged. After swelling and pain went away I started on Milk Thistle and green tea... been good for quite awhile now. Was your MD able to feel the ridge of your liver? was your upper right quadrent distended a bit? Wish you the best!

swollen liver he probably mean hepatomegaly which is a large palpable liver
so bsically hei s feeling the Right upper quadrant and it feels enlarged kinda like when you see a baby stomach after he has eaten a big meal it is all swollen there is a similar appearnce but on the other side when there is liver issues or some sort.
You had a steptoccoci infection that is probably why it is inflammed i cant imagine the booze helped at all and any roids would have only compounded the issue but the liver is very durable as said above wait for the bloods, drink water dont do any detox things wait until the doc tells you what to do but loads of water is essential.

well.. from my experience.. i had a swollen liver.. and went to a specialist.. and got an ultrasound on the whole stomach area.. thats liver, pancreas ect.. and test came back that is was swollen.. about two times its normal size.. or as my doc said.. twice the size of a regular person.. well. to make the story short... the cause of it being swollen was from me drinking everyday heavy and being on HGH... the minute I stopped drinking the swelling went down.. and liver size was back to normal size..so.. if this is your situation.. stop drinking while on any AAS..especially HGH..

mate how old are you if your less than 30 cirrhosis is rare i mean very rare your liver is so fuckin durbale it takes years of punishment for cirrhosis to show up on biopsy. fatty liver probably cirrhosis probably not even with ehavy drinking and 17 aa roids to be honest

As others have said, don't panic, but please brother, go talk to the doctor. I'm sure it's something that isn't too bad. The liver is an amazing thing, it can heal itself, if you let it. So don't drink, lay off the sauce and PLEASE go back to the doctor and talk to him about this. If you need to talk or anything, my PM box is open. Once the dr told me my liver values were high and I was freaked, so I know sorta how you might be feeling right now. I hope it all turns out fine, I'm sure it will
