Well folks,

My body is worn out. . . I am making some reasonable gains, but my joints are starting to ache and I feel that my body is beat to hell.

Here is what I completed tonight:

1. Speed Bench - 8 sets x 3 reps @ 205lbs
2. Standing Overhead DB Presses - 1 set x 8 reps @ 75lbs dbs
3. Lying French Presses - 3 sets x 8 reps @ 130lbs
4. Barbell Rows - 1 set x 8 reps @ 315lbs
5. Wide Grip Pull-Downs - 3 sets x 10 reps @ 180lbs

worked with a few straight sets tonight, but both elbows are shot to hell!!!

I am planning on spending the week with some light running, jump roping, stretching, and possible swimming.

When I get back to training, I will be squatting.

Also, I may start performing some floor presses and some close grip lockouts.

For now, the CNS needs the rest. . . . I will still visit buffets and Sonic DriveIn on a frequent basis!!;)

watch out all local buffets!!! Glad to hear someone else takes breaks. Hope you get some quality rest and gain some weightas well

Me too. Break between June 27 and July 5. I will be at the beach :havoc:

I just got back and im loving training again. Amazing what a break does for both motivation and progress!

I normally just lower the volume and frequency when I feel beaten up, and after a coupel of weeks I'm ready to go hard again.

sleeping a lot helps too :)

I agree in regards to sleeping. I think that is one of the biggest differences I find when I go on a holiday (I never tend to break from training otherwise). I go to bed earlier and wake up later, which tends to recharge me really well :)

I have to go to Cali for the weekend so taking it off too......but, I'm totally freaked out because I've never taken more than a day off...now it's 3.....does your diet change? More/less??? Are you cutting/bulking? I've just detailed the ol' six pack and afraid to lose it...I know it's a damn mind game, but can't beat it......helpppppppp

3 days is nothing!!!!!! You could drop calories slightly on the second and third day if depending on your activitly levels if you want, but really I wouldnt worry. Engoy it! :D

im taking two weeks off in july. from july 12th to the 18th..... thats to rest up so im ready to go for B folds contest on the 19th, then from the 20th till the 24th so i can recover after the contest lol.

have fun louden.... and remember. if you switch hands, you'll have a lot less chance of overtraining.

X

enjoy it!

a question pertaining to your training.. when you bench, do you lower the bar slow or fast?

Thanks guys for all the comments!!

I will still eat a ton of food (buffets, and etc).

The university just had a mexican buffet and a shitload of leftovers. . I probably ate 2lbs of rice.
