Sust250 and cardio.....

I will start my first cycle in January (depending if i get my BF down to 13-14%). Here is my question. If i inject 250mgs a/wk (dont want to do 500mgs just cause its my first cycle and want to see how it hits me) on Sunday night, and i wake up first thing, do 30 min light cardio followed by some serious lifting then followed by 50g of protein (PWO shake) is doing the cardio then lifting going to be counter productive?? will it affect my gains (say my diet is on point) ???

First I wouldn't consider 30min of any cardio light. That's a lot of cardio to do before any heavy lifting. I've always done my cardio after my training to burn and fatigue my muscles.

But hell if you can do 30min you can do 45 or 1 hour if you’re trying to get the bf down before your cycle.

hmmm that sounds like a good method, how about if i trained first (sipped on gatorade or something of that nature) hit cardio after, then had a PWO shake, then ate 1 1/2 hours later? also would you guys recommend hitting each body part 1 or 2 a wk? Since i will be on Sust will this hinder my gains??

The purpose of weight training is to put on muscle so you should do that first; when you can give it 100%. If you do cardio first, you will deplete your glycogen stores which will sap your energy when you go to weight train.

The purpose of cardio is to burn fat so you should do that last; after weight training has depleted your glycogen stores. That will force your body to burn fat for energy and is the next best thing to doing cardio in the AM on an empty stomach.

After the whole workout, drink your protein shake. If you're doing weight training after cardio just so you can get the protein shake quick you're putting the cart before the horse. How intensely you lift is much more important that how quickly you drink that protein.

so you advice, lift then cardio then shake..i guess i was stuck to the notion that i needed protein immediatly after lifting...but i guess i could try lifting then cario...keep in mind im going to be on 250mgs of sustanon...

It's depends on what you consider "cardio". I like to walk on the tread at a 12% incline, 3.5 mph for 20 minutes before hitting the weights. It loosens you up and warms the body a few degrees thereby decreasing the chance of injury. It also gets your heart rate up and turns your lifting into a semi-aerobic activity, if you rest minimally between sets. Unless i'm really trying to cut it down this routine keeps me lean year round and i have never noticed a decrease in strength because of it. Now if you're really training in a true cardio zone (75-85% of MHR for 30+ minutes) you might want to do it on off days or do a morning/evening split.

i think im looking more at the pre-core kind of cardio...that thing that looks like a nordic stride...works really well...i have noticed that at my weight for 30 min i tend to burn close to 400 calories and do about 2.5 miles on it....so this is the plan of attack...lift (hitting one body part a day) then 30 min cardio followed by PWO...see where that gets me know till January (when i start my first cycle)

It's Precor and yeah they work great. I sell a ton of them every week. The XTR course will burn around 470 calories in 30 minutes at level 10. I always hit 2 groups per day, i've never been big on the one bodypart a day thing. I feel that it's more efficient to pair at least two groups and hits the tie-ins better.

so you recommend something like this..
Monday : Chest/Back w/30 min precor
Tues. Legs/Shoulders (no cardio due to leg training)
Wed. Arms w/30 min precor
Thurs. Chest/Back w/30 min precor
Fri. Legs/shoulder w/no cardio
Sat. Arms w/30 min precor
Sun. Rest maybe 30 min precor??

How does that look?? or is it too much?
