Surprising Acne Tip for You Guys - Great for Hair, Muscles, and Nails, too...

methylsulfonylmethane - or at least that is what it says on my bottle of it

Exactly - but almost everywhere sells it as "MSM".

I guess you should be careful, though, as some unscrupulous marketer is likely to call a product "MSM", and low and behold, it's really a bottle of:

"Mangey Shit-eating Maggots"

And, I don't believe they (Maggots) have any positive effect on collagen synthesis.

Seriously - probably good to double check that...

Hey CrumCake - I think 2,000MG a day is the standard dose people recommend (whether in cap, powder or liquid form) and that you should spread the dose out twice throughout the day.

I've heard that it doesn't matter whether or not you take it with food. For me in a case like that, I like to take with food as it will be easier on the stomach.

I take a liquid form (doesn't taste bad) and mix it in with my protein shakes in the morning and evenings.

Another thing is - joint pain just isn't a problem for me anymore. Period. I don't even think about it. Gotta be the MSM... I know when I've gone off it it came back.

Now, here's another point that speaks well for MSM as a point pain aid - many people recommend chondroitin and glucosamine for joint problems as well, and the rage now is to take those two with MSM. Now that I'm getting more into MSM for other reasons I'm taking just that without the Chondroitin or Glocosamine - so far, still no joint problems.

So, you guys may want to consider that if you're taking all three for joint pain. MSM alone may just go it for you... Plus all the other excellent benefits.

Peace,

Roger

I've used MSM before for joint pain, especially while on cycle. I didn't notice anything in the way of improved skin though. My face still looked like Pizza The Hut.

Hey MB - it won't prevent you from getting zits, but it will speed the healing of your zits and make your skin softer. That is, if you kill the bacteria in the zit, the swelling and scarring need to go away...

For the zits themselves (killing the bacteria and preventing them), here's what I do:

1. Use Proactiv (the whole kit, wash, lotion, etc...)

2. Take Guggolsterones

3. Wash face with benzoyl peroxide wash twice a day.

4. In the proactiv thing - they include a sulfur mask - the
sulfu is very effective at killing the bacteria.

5. Use an alpha hydroxy mask from time to time (like the Earth Science Papaya Glycolic mask).

6. Get a facial once a week. They will do "extractions" for you - that is, they'll squeeze your pimples without fucking up your face.

And this keeps my skin looking pretty good even on cycle. OK, my routine is much like that of a girl's, but who are we kidding? We're all doing this shit to look better.
