I am trying to find supplements that will enhance my aerobic and anaerobic endurance. So far I am looking into creatine, ribose, and possibly endurox. Any board members with results from these? Any other suggestions?

Drugs are an option. EPO doesn't interest me though.

The cyclists have replaced EPO by PFC (per fluoro carbon)

PFC tend to make us sick so we are sticking to EPO. Amgen even came up with a new, improved version-you could say it is 'esterified' as you only have to inject once a month or so.

hehehehe

Actually word is that all those blood doping agents (RSR-13, PFC, Hemasisit) have more adverse side effects than EPO. Plus EPO is so expensive.

Jake-
Creatine would help some. You have to load a lot the night before like 30 grams. Endurox-tablets or the drink???

The thing that makes creatine so bad is the fact that you gain all of that water weight. which if your looking for endurance you want lean mass...Other than that, If you can keep the water weight off then I would say it shouldn't hurt none.

No Creatine

Don't take creatine if you're training for endurance. I recommend concentrating on diet. Get 60% of your calories from carbs, 20-25% from lean protein and 15-20% from healthy fats. Drink plenty of liquids (stay hydrated) and stay motivated.

I wrestle and want anaerobic endurance mainly. I am also trying to go up two weight classes so weight gain is not a problem.

What do the 800/1000 meter runners take for supplements? That is the type of endurance that I am looking for.

Choose the right kind

Creatine is not out of the question, definitely not. Try TRAC from MHP, it is time released and doesn't seem to cause water retention to the degree that straight creatine will. Thus all the benefits and no extra weight.

Androgens increase red blood cell volume. They were the drug of choice for this purpose before the much more profitable EPO came along.

No Creatine

Creatine supplmenting is for Explosive type Energy, over a short period of time (Ex: WEight Lifting) Not for Long Distance Runners or Cyclists.

go to www.phytin.com
it increased my hemotocrit from 39 to 46 in 8 weeks

just take some calcium , it tends to use alot of it up

kinda like a natural Epogen

Rotty-
I did a search on PubMed and found no research to back this up. I'll keep looking though. I'm sure if there was a natural OTC supp that stimulated erythropoiesis I'd have heard of it. Especially one that would increase 'crit levels 7 points in 8 weeks. That's as good as EPO so I faind that hard to believe...

Ok-I did more research and found phytin or IP6 inositol can increase the oxygen carrying capacity of hemoglobin. Pub Med abstracts seemed to indicate this. None however indicated either substance would increase RBC production ie an increase in hematocrit levels. But like I stated above, research does seem to indicate that phytin or IP6 inositol could be a useful endurance supplement.

So what exactly are your goals...some explosive power or moderate endurnace for grappling/wrestling? I am an MMA fighter and I use epi strong for mild increases in lean mass and training intensity. In addition I use Anabeta and HCGenerate.

jtusn: this thread is old.. start up a new thread.. none of these guys aside from stryker above, even post on here anymore, you are talking to ghosts.

and creatine no no no no.. bad choice for endurance. creatine is best used for BB or PL's.. you don't want to take anything that will fill your cells with water.

supps that are great for endurance? doesn't exist.. you have to go out there and run/swim/cycle your ass off to improve your endurance. krill oil can help, lots of vitamins, lots of minerals to help recovery and keep yourself healthy... but endurance training is very different than bodybuilding.. 2 totally different sports.
