SuperSetting??

I'm going to do a new routine and it consists of supersets. But what the heck is a superset? :worried:

For example:
Standing Barbell Curl 3 x 8
super set with
Seated Overhead 3 x 8



^Does this mean that I do standing barbell curls for 8 reps and then move on to seated overheads(withOUT resting)? then back again to barbell curls again without resting, etc.?
 
Okay just want to make sure I got this :worried:

so I do(in order):

8 reps Standing Barbell Curl
8 reps Seated Overheads
8 reps Standing Barbell Curl
8 reps Seated Overheads
8 reps Standing Barbell Curl
8 reps Seated Overheads

^that's what this routine means right?
Standing Barbell Curl 3 x 8
super set with
Seated Overhead 3 x 8
 
Superset = two exercises back-to-back, rest for however long you rest in between sets, repeat.

Triset or Giant set = three exercises " "

yeah, just like that. By the way, why would want to do a routine with supersets when you don't know what a superset is? just curious...

maybe shes asking so she can learn what one is before she tries it
 
i like supersets for auxilliary movements, not main moves though. takes too much energy out of me on the big moves. tri's, rear delts, rotator, bi's, stuff like that are fine. just my opinion though, and in line with my goals. someone looking for endurance work might enjoy it more. i use it when short on time...or bored with those movements. hehe.
