Anyone else ever superset deads and shrugs?

Yesterday I did five sets of shrugs, Five sets of deads and five sets of dead/shrug supersets.

Anyone?

My back hates me right now. I've had about a dozen of those twitch spasms...which is pretty common for me though.

Thank God for Ibuprofen and Bio-Flex products! :)

That sounds ridiculously painful.
I had a deadlift only day on Tuesday, did only 2 real working sets.
495 for 8 reps(no straps, just chalk) then 405 for 15 reps(no straps, just chalk), did only 2 REAL sets and my back feels like someone took a bat to it, I have to do legs today, fucking great! peace

I had one of those spasms that make you take a real deep breath and think OH SHIT when I woke up this morning. It was almost as good as sex with a llama.

I range from 315 - 585 on sets.

I am shrugging 455 now. It's too funny to see because my head actually shakes a little when I do them. Sorta like bobble headed wodin.
 
Damn, You'd shrug me off when I did my pansy lift's.... I won't even humilate myself with the number's! Hey, but I at least shrug, right!?

Which head bobbles? :)
 
The one on my shoulders bobbles. I have no clue why it bobbles either.

Cuz ya got a pencil neck...

May need to start placing a few 75 lb. plates on the side of your head.....A flat head is better than a pencil neck though....:)

Can you do 585 without straps? I find that if I don't use straps I literally go down 200lbs on my shrugs.

My right hand and arm went partially paralyzed about 4 years ago. A shampoo bottle would fall out of my grip. No cause or reason... and mostly recovered now.

Shrugs with 455??? I have always been of the opinion that there is a threshold for shrugs that once you pass it, you aren't doing yourself any additional good. Like shrugging 455 for 10 reps is not that much better for you than shrugging 225 for 15-20 reps.

I have no scientific basis by which I make that statement, it just seems right to me.
