Suggestions on a Photographer?

It's a long shot but I thought I'd ask on here.

Two years ago I had some studio shots done with Robert Kim in New York. Pics came out great, but between color and black and white the price was a little on the high end. At the time his schedule was booked and I work throughout the week so it was hard to get an appointment that was good for both of us.

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions or personal experiences with any photographers in Manhattan. I'm trying to find someone who has a reputation for taking quality pictures and is reasonably priced. (If that 's possible) Anyone hear of John Puric? That's one name that I got recently. This is mostly for personal progress pics and to have something for safekeeping but I still want them to turn out good.

And does anyone know of either a website or somewhere in NYC that you go to take a look at some samples of photographers' works? I tried to find a site but had no luck. Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks Bunny. (Must spread Karma...) I'll have to check and see if there's some more testimonials on people's experiences with some photographers. I know a few people who were rushed or had blurry pics done so I'm trying to be picky before I choose one.

Any suggestions on any others? More fitness oriented maybe? He was pretty cool when I went, but he took too many pictures from the same angle when I wanted to change and do something different. His advertisment has pictures of the celebs he took when he was out in Hollywood so I guess he uses that for his marketing and to bump up the price.

Contact John Rippa. He is located in NY and takes pictures for (I believe) NPC News and AXL magazines. You can find him at most shows too.
Not sure of his contact info. Try google.

I don't know anyone in NYC as I live in L.A., but make sure you actually talk with people that have shot with the photographer you choose. A lot of photographers have great web sites, but when it comes down to actually producing a great product they fall short.

He did a shoot for an NPC fitness competitor I know. Gastavo Badell jumped in for a few pictures too!
