Stupidity rules again (ontario schools)

Im not sure if this has been brought into effect anywhere else in canada,I dont think it has been because we are the only province getting rid of grade 13 but the new cirriculum is favoring stupid people

a new policy that has been put into effect this semester has it so students only lose 10% of the mark if they hand work in late.
This means that up until the final exam these lazy people or people with bad time management skills get s break for whatever reason.

No im pissed because my Advanced english class average is 48% ,Im sitting at a 87 the highest mark in the class by 20% and now these fuckers get a break for sitting there being total fucks.

what the hell is our school system going to,this is basically teaching people to be lazy,it doesnt promote anything positive and Im very upset by it.

I just needed to vent about this shit but would like opinions

Bro I don't know what to say but that is plain rediculous, but don't worry those fucks who though they could wait till the last second when they get to a school like Dal where i go, each day an assignment is late you lose 25%, in most of my classes. How about that.

BTW the garde 13 thing was a waste anyway I think, most people are ready for university by 18, and if not tkae a year off an work, travel etc. The only good thing about going that extra year to school imo was for poeple involved in sports, it gave them a better chance to get some type of sports related schoolership.

DAL sucks!!!!

UNB all the way!!!!!

And yes, OAC is a complete and utter waste of time.

Ok...I'll be the first from the States to ask...

GRADE 13??!

grade 13 is for university prep and you need 6 gr 13 courses to goto university,or you did until this year

I personally hated the idea of having a extra grade to hold me back from uni, so I fast tracked my final 2 years and entered at the regular american year 12. This is the final year for OAC anyway so its no longer a problem.

Lotsa of considerations were made for that, all major uni have expanded in some way or another, the minor ones less so. Many students have either done as I did and fast tracked or will take a year off.

Don't worry aboot it too much, if your grades are there than you will still get in, if you still feel uncomfortable then upgrade your appliation with extra curric, or comm service - most people are too lazy to do such anyway. You can even write a nationally standardized test ex. SAT (assuming you score high) your place will be guarenteed.

As for the policy, its shouldn't be perminent, and I beleive it would only effects the double cohort since grades 12 and oac (worth the same) need this now that they are mushing 2 years into one, and grade 12's cann't have the consideration (10% max) hence the OAC's get it also. Thats the only reason i can think of.

If you can't change it than take advantage of it.

My average is great so that isnt a problem but residence will be it the places im applying to arent upgrading yet ,but it shouldnt be that big of a problem
