Stupid moments in workout history

When I fisrt started going to the gym, I always did standing calf raises for my calfs. After a while I decided to try the seated calf raises, I thought the range of motion sucked, no where near the range of motion on standing calf raises but decided to switch between seated and standing every other week to break the monotomy. A couple of weeks after I began this plan and was doing seated calf raises, this guy asked if he could work in with me and I said OK. I felt so stupid when I saw him move a lever on the side of the machine which moved the weight off a hinge and increase the range of motion. I turned red, but didn't say anything and then when my turn came, I moved the lever as if I always knew it was there.

From then on, I always watch how people use a certain machine or do an excercise before I try it.

What's your Stupid moment in workout history?

You would have never had that problem with the Chuck Norris Total Gym.

I once fell off the elliptical machine & another time & dropped my magazine on the treadmill & it shot into the weight area.....

I was once pressing the entire rack on the tricep press when the pin broke.

I was pushing down so hard that I literally spiked myself into the floor when the weight dropped.

Saw a kid the other day with his sunglasses on while in the gym. No where near jacked enough to pull that stunt off.

a friend of mine who was about 6' 5" 275 was doing behind the neck pull-downs with the entire stack when the cable broke as he was pulling down...this crushed the vertabraes in his c-spine...he is now rich and owns a restuarant.....
