When I fisrt started going to the gym, I always did standing calf raises for my calfs. After a while I decided to try the seated calf raises, I thought the range of motion sucked, no where near the range of motion on standing calf raises but decided to switch between seated and standing every other week to break the monotomy. A couple of weeks after I began this plan and was doing seated calf raises, this guy asked if he could work in with me and I said OK. I felt so stupid when I saw him move a lever on the side of the machine which moved the weight off a hinge and increase the range of motion. I turned red, but didn't say anything and then when my turn came, I moved the lever as if I always knew it was there.
From then on, I always watch how people use a certain machine or do an excercise before I try it.
What's your Stupid moment in workout history?
