Strongman Contest in Connecticut

StrongChE

High End Bro
Platinum
Check out www.ctstrongman.com

There will be a North American Strongman Society sanctioned Platinum Level competition on March 19th, 2005 at the New Haven Athletic Center in New Haven, CT.

This will be a Nationals qualifier; the top three in each class receive an invitation.

There will be a Novice Division for first time competitors to give strongman competition a try.

There is information on the website for training groups in New England so that you can train with the actual implements and learn from the veterans.

We will have vendors at the show selling supplements, powerlifting, and strongman gear.

The proceeds from the show go to support the Connecticut Childrens' Medical Center.

Mark your calendars. Shoot us an email if you would like to see something different with the events or something else at the show like a Rolling Thunder competition.

Looks like a good contest. I'd try and do it or at least show up if it weren't 1000 miles away from Denver.

Cheers,

There is lots of time to get a great rate on flights. We've been contacted by two guys from Canada, and there is a guy from Washington coming.

I do not think there will be a bigger show this year. We have 120,000 square feet of floor to run the show on, plus 6000 bleacher seats, and a mezzanine with another 1000.

It's not a flight/distance/money issue it's that I am pretty much on call 24/7 for my job so I can't plan big trips very often where I am going to be unable to return home quickly. I'll look into it some more though.

Hey bro - thanks for the heads-up. I couldn't find where on that site it spoke about training groups in New England. I live in CT, by the way.

Email [email protected] for info on the training groups.

We train in Bristol on Saturdays and Sundays starting at noon and going until whenever.

There is also two groups in NY, two groups in MA, and one group in RI that are all fairly close, if you live on one of the CT borders.
