I hate stretch marks and am wondering what is the fastest way to get rid of them. Anybody try any products? I've been using bio oil but it's not helping yet.

Im allready tan what else could we use to remove stretch marks?
ehh it'll take time, get some sun (even if you are tan, it'll blend em in ), i've heard great things about stivectin.

getting ripped/tight skin helps hide them too

Stretch marks are scars. They will be there forever. Tanning does help to hide them. Only thing that works for me.

do a search for something called a derma roller. I think i'm going to try it out. its seriously needles attached to a roller that puncture your skin and some sort of collegen gel that gets pushed into the holes. its suppose to make them go away. kinda makes sense consider creams/vitamin e/lotions can't penatrate the layer of skin where the stretch mark is formed. hence the needles.

it was actually on Dr phil... i don't endorse anyone with a porno mustache but if you google his name and derma roller it'll bring up the "high class" one going for $118.. you can also find a few on ebay going for 60-80 dollars.

Scar reduction plasters.

They do fade over time, but usually, when you have them, you have them, some of the recovery is all about genetics and collagen synthesis in the body.

You may want to try some supps like collagen, and make sure you are getting enough minerals like copper and magnesium?, as they are co-factors in the metallurginases that make collagen.

View them as your badges of honour for growing muscle so quickly, unless you got them from being fat, then they are your badges for getting back in shape and a reminder never to get that fat again.

maybe somewhat of a hijack but thought i would save another thread...

has anyone ever woke up one morning and noticed a new bright red or purple stretch mark, almost looking like a bruise, or do they seem to occur slowly over time? i've had stretch marks ever since i can remember(since weight training anyway) but i've only noticed these kinds pop up in the last year or so. the color goes away in about a week and they look like a normal stratch mark.

if i use something with a shoulder pad at the gym i'll get what looks like little scratch stretch marks on my shoulders. they go away in about a week. it honestly depends on the person how fast they show up and stay and all that BS... i started doing thors hammer for my forarms and fascia stretching my biceps and i seriously got a shit load of them in a week. fucking sucks!!!

i'm not quite sure you could consider them stretch marks though. I think it's a combination of your traps flexing naturally under the weight of the pads and what not. more like a irritation or indention of something. possibly a t shirt!? i've never noticed them anywhere else on my body. just my traps.

I get stretch marks on my shoulders when I take a cycle. When I am off the cycle the marks go away after a little time. I also used to have a big stretch marks where my chest and belly meet cause I used to have a big gut. However, it to went away but it took a year or so. Mabey it depends on your age whether they go away or not. I do not know. :theshadow

Retin-A / Renova

studies to support significant reduction in red stretch marks (not mature) -- less effective for older white stretch marks

the mechanism is as Tat said is collagen-based

also some buzz but dont recall if there were studys) about non-ablative non-invasive lasers like v-beam.

like the retin-a the laser treatment will stimulate accelerated local production of collagen/elastin.

go tanning i had real bad ones by my arms and they went away.....just because u are tan dont mean u cant hop in a tanning bed......get some good lotion and hop in a tanning bed and they should begin to fade.... stretch marks are tough to get rid of....

Cocoa butter has helped me out. The stretch marks by my right shoulder is basically gone the left has faded drastically. I usually put it on 2 times a day. It has helped me, and I believe it will help prevent them too. All I can say is it works for me.
