So I booked this big appoinment with a new customer (very big potential) I had been calling. I was going to meet with them along with my boss on Monday. My boss told me before the end of the day he thinks it is best if he just goes. Thing is they expect to meet with me as well. I feel like I am spinning my wheels at this place. Honestly so pissed right now my hard work is getting me nada.

Lets hope my job interview on Tuesday goes well.

I understand where you're coming from, just try to keep a positive attitude.

As far as your boss changing plans and stealing the spotlight, he's the boss, there's nothing you can do.

I will for sure not use them as a refrence ever. I have worked my ass off and seen nothing. This is not the first time something has happend with an account I have been working on.

You should have given them a timetable, the people ABOVE your boss and told them that you'd give them 6 months to straight shit and if you see no change you'd walk.

That's how you gotta direct things.

what about confronting this boss?
honestly if you doing all the leg work and he goes to seal the deal and gets the account hes gonna see you as a pushover and hell do it to you every time!!

you dont have to be a dick to him but i would think you need to stand your ground and state your case..be firm tell him whats bothering you..if he doesnt see it your way then go over his head and state your case to someone higher up
 
I know all about dicks. I had a meeting today with this guy about some design standards down in irvine. TOTAL dick. I mean there's no way he could not have known what an asshole he was.

Nothing stops the mutual discussion and interaction of business than someone's dysfunctional arrogant attitude. There's no place for that in efficient and competent business. There's no skill or experience required to act like a jerk. You ain't impressin' anyone.

I'll just assume he had a bad day. Either way -- it makes me realize once again how many people out there have still not mastered the fine art of how to interact and communicate with humans.

Thanks for your support all I want to find another job too but I want it to be the right one. I don't want to make an impulsive decision like I did when I found this one.
