Streching?

hey guys, i am thinking that i am doing something wrong here.

i've noticed recently that the following day after a workout, the muscle grooup that i have worked on is REALLY tight and sore...
Example... i did my back and Bi's 2 days ago. did my streching etc.. i noticed in the morning i could not fully extend my arms. it does hurt to strech them.

is this a result of lack of streching?
im thinking because i have been off weights for a few months that my body needs time to get back into the swing of things.
i used some tigerbalm to try and ease up the tension in the muscle tissue..

any advice? how i can avoid this again... and correct the problem?

how long have you been hitting the weights again? if you are only a week or so into lifting again the soreness is pretty common and should subside soon. I went two weeks without lifting and when I started again I was sore as hell for the next couple of weeks after my workous. Dont think there is to much that can be done about it.

i was reading up on this link....Stretching and Flexibility

that was posted previously that i found... my initial diagnosis was that it's because of the lack of exersize that i had.
and afrer reading up. it seemed to be my condition.
im acustome to the "sore" feeling. but this is more tight, and im unable to fully extend my arms without pain or feeling tight... etc...

thanks for the input.
i'll get up on the water situation lol
