Strange Tri giveout when benching

So, I have been working out for a while now, but I never had a great workout schedule. I guess I'd been kinda lazy, but I saw enough results for me.

Now, here's the problem. I've finally started into getting several different exercises per muscle group and getting a good routine going. However, I have a problem with my chest exercises.

So, let's say I start the day off with a flat bench. I can do the weight and my pecs are strong enough. However, I notice that my tris are holding me back a bit. That's fine, at least I can do the exercise and my tris will eventually catch up as long as I'm working them out too. However, if I follow up a flat bench with a decline or incline... as soon as I start to work out I again notice that my chest can definitely do what I have on the bar, but I can no longer feel my tris. For some reason, my tris give out. I can keep pushing the weight for a a set or two, but after one or two sets my tris refuse to push. My pecs still feel like they can go for ages, but when I'm pushing I don't get proper motion in my tris and my arms start to quake.

I was wondering if anyone has ever had this problem and knows of a way to fix it. Potentially, I would like to know what tri exercise in particular I would need to work on to get them to allow me to actually get a good hit on my pecs.

As a short summary for the wall above: After a few sets of benching (no matter the type) my tris give out and I can no longer feel them which triggers my body into not letting me lift (I don't particularly know if they're too weak or something under the surface is coming up).

Thanks for the advice. I would like to clear this problem up as soon as possible.

Im not sure about that... but my triceps seem to do more of the work when i bench.. especialy with dumbells.. at the end, my triceps ache but my pecs dont..

I'm wondering how wide apart your grip is. Generally (but not always) you grip whould be wide enough that if you bring your upper arms down until they are parallel with the ground, your arms will form a 90 degree angle (L). I can see that if they were too close together then your tricepts would be recruited to perform a larger amount of the work that is normal.

I wrap my index finger on the far groove of the bar. I go almost as wide as it gets.

The strange thing about all this is... I can still finish my tri workout just fine. It's very strange.

I have experienced something simular. I injured my right shoulder and my right tricep stated lagging behind in training as a result. When I would start to get to my max weight on flat bench my right tri would give first. So to help with this problem I would do close grip flat bench and real short expolsive reps right off the chest, That helped.
