packaged was sent internationally, it was hand delivered by a so called neighbor would said it was accidently delivered to there house...the person admitted to it being there package and said thanks to the neighbor...well, 15 mins later agents stormed in and confiscated 46 amps that was in that package as wellas 3 ultragans and tracking numbers that were in the house,....the person was arrested and released on a 10,000 dollar bond...final outcome in court
$2000 donation to charity of choice
$350 court fees
100 hr community service
3 years probation
$2500 in lawyer fees
thought I share that...I think its not bad considering

Real good, I'd say. That could be 2 to 10.
And the point is that you don't always just get a letter from customs.....they will offer it to the locals for further action sometimes. If you are waiting on delivery, be suspicious of everything!

was not rural.......south florida and was primoteston...I thought it was good...bro, was not only the amps..it was other products and tracking #s found as well as an email where those amps were to be sent...
charges were
possion
intent to distribute
and manufacturing, which was dropped right away

that sucks. i don't know why they would call that intent to distribute because 46 primo's isn't a lot.

I am also a bit surprised that they added the intent to distribute charge for that quantity. I would guess they would have a hard time getting a conviction, but they throw it in to serve mostly as a bargaining chip.

I've heard about the "friendly neighbor" ruse before.

The outcome sounds pretty favorable to me, and probably underlines the value of hiring private counsel. Sounds like the $2,500 for attorney fees was money well spent. It could have been many times that had the case proceeded to trial.

If they found an email in which he was going to send those amps to someone else, that is disribution. I'm sure the penalty would have been less if they were for personal use.

The fact that it was international raises the bar quite a bit. Not bad,but could have been better....go domestic:)

True, domestic is better. International isn't that bad, you just have to remember to NEVER admit that shit is yours. Better to take the hit on your shit than take the hit on your record, not to mention your checkbook too.

the old neighbor ruse ..god i thought eveyone knew that one ....I f you don't recognize the neighbor (and hell maybe if you do) tell them to drop it in the mail , because deliverying mail when your not a mail carrier is a felony and you wouldn;t want a neighbor to go to jail....stick to that no matter how hot the babe is ....because she ain't your neighbor!

The 'friendly neighbor' trick has been exhausted by law enforcement and I think almost evryone should know this by now. If it's an old lady, a housewife looking type woman, Joe Schmoe or a hot babe...deny your knowledge about the package or its contents. Reinforce the 'delivering mail by non-postal employees is a felony' message. On second thought, if it's a hot babe invite her inside, shut the door and find out how 'friendly' she really is! :horny:

After the Fact......

Go to their house and ask them if you can borrow a cup of sugar or something like that. When they go back in to get it, follow them inside and beat the fuck out of them. Probably won't help your case any, but at least you will feel better about it.

Remember to love thy neighbor. he he

you poor americans. I feel for people who live in a supposed free country and can't even have 48 vials of juice without the swat team swarming in on him. What a waste of tax payer money. But that's the good old US, try to throw everyone in jail. SAD!!!

One could drive that amount over the mexican border and if caught would only have a $500 dollar fine(nothing on record) City and state cops suck. In some cases they will try to wreck a persons life then save one.
