lol, i'm almost ready- yesterday i sat on the couch instead of the guest bed!
the foot is getting better, but SO slowly. i'm down to taking a perc every 4.5 hours during the day with motrine in between. i'm going to try to get off the percs by wed.
yeah, i have a purple soft cast and a blue velcro shoe, a steel rod that sticks out, and some tubing that comes out of the top that connects to this really cool invention that pumps ice water around without getting my foot wet.

what happens when they take the steel rod/pins out? They just unscrew it out like taking a screw out of wood? Or do they sliiiiidddddddddeeeeee it out all slow like with the muscle and skin hanging on/

My 3yo daughter had a pin in her elbow when she broke it. They put her out to do it both times. Left a very small scar for the surgery.

How's the house going Stilleto? Is it on hold or are you still doing what you can while you're laid up for this?

um.. i don't know. i find out tomorrow when i have it done.
i think i'm not supposed to eat tonight after 10, so maybe they do knock me out (i hope i hope).

i did some whirlwind shopping before this, so most everything was taken care of. new floors are in, walls are mostly done, electrical and plumbing are being worked on in a few spots.
my contractor knows what decisions he can make without me- or he calls.
