Steroids Use And Panic Attacks

IMPERATOR

New member
Anyone here ever experienced panic attacks (hyperventilation, paranoia, fear of dieing, etc.) with the use of steroids ??

I get this shit on a regular basis this day. Ive been now taking steroids for about 6 years. The only thing that can calm me down is tranquiller or valium tablets.

Anyone can help with his personal experience/remedy ??

I Got it bad when I was running EQ and Winny. A few of the bro's on the board told me that Inositol, 2 or 3 grams daily would help. I did just that and it certainly made a difference. I also think it depends upon the person. I am very susceptible to anxiety so it affected me more than it would some others. Definatley try the Inositol though. It is Vitamin B-8, you should be able to buy it at most vitamin stores. If the Attacks keep up, I would see a doctor and see about some prescribed meds to help, like Xanax. But be careful with that stuff, its addicting. Good Luck Bro.

Got bad with 500mg enanthate per week and 100mg anapolon per day.

anxious and paranoid. Freaked me right out.

I think it has something to do with high blood pressure.

high blood pressure is a bitch!

Wow, I'm extremely anxiety prone naturally. When I'm on test I'm so mellow that it is rediculous, so I guess some of us have the opposite reaction. When on test my thoughts are pretty much dominated by sex, food, sex, perfectly shaped female asses... and did I mention sex?

EQ seems to be the worst for anxiety. I would stay away from it if I were you. But yah, it can still happen with other drugs.

I have learned to control my anxiety, I just tell myself there's nothing to worry about, and look at things logically.

I have had anxiety disorders for 30 years, currently (past 10 years) on daily meds,

Never has a cycle increased or decreased my anxiety, with the exception of clen, but those side affects subside in a few days.

I did an 18 week cycle about one year ago, and never experienced increased anxiety.

Curently taking Prozac at 40mg per day, Xanax at 3 mg per day
and seroquel at 50mg a day.

I have Mitrol Valve prolapse, which is a fluttering heart valve problem. Sounds shitty, but its really not that big of a deal. It caused me to have panic attacks and serious anxiety problems, and the doc prescribed me Paxil CR, and i have never felt better in my entire life. I know there are people that will criticize anything like this, but it works for me. I take 25mg a day now, and have not had but 1 panic attack in the last 2 weeks. I still get kind of anxiety freaked, but nothing like a panic attack. Try some Paxil. And im on a sust dbol cycle right now, and you would think that my attacks would be worse! Nope!

RichGenetics, interesting, I have Mitrol Valve prolapse also, and treat that with enderal,

But my panic attacks are triggered more by stress or lack of sleep then substances

I suffered from panic attacks and anxiety for years, and went untreated. During that time, anything that increases heart rate, breathing rate, etc, would get me nervous (such as 8 cups of coffee every morning for 9 months, while getting less than 6 hours of alcohol induced sleep everynight, and eating food that contained more sodium than protein). The old CAE stack used to get me spacey and nervous also.

Anyway, I eventually started Paxil and was able to get with life. I now pop Paxil and Wellbutrin, and the Panic is not a factor anymore (99% of the time). After 8 years of dealing with this, I can say that it does help to get a rational understanding of the process (not event) of Panic. It allows me to absorb things like faster heartbeat without getting nervous.

BTW, I suffered from SVT (supra-ventricular tachycardia) before the Panic started, and I'm sure that was a major catalyst. Interesting to hear others had heart issues leading to anxiety also.

My advice. Seek medical attention. Doctors are good about helping anxiety these days. If you would rather not pop pills, try massage and herbs. I can't overemphasize how much massage helped me. Herbs such as kava kava and valerian root have been effective for me. Avoid caffine and recreational drugs, and get enough sleep.

And most of all, realize that it is just your body reacting to a perception. You are not going "crazy" or "losing it". You are not going to die, and the panic WILL pass. Just breathe deep, and try to understand the physical processes that are occuring.

All the above, not to mention cronic insomnia. It goes with the territory. You play you pay.

You might want to try P Seven bro. If you're not using deca it has tremendous calming properties.

For what? Insomnia or panic attacks?

i dont know about a fear of dieing though.

sounds psychological.. not physiological.

then again i'm not a doctor.

The fear of dying is not a general fear of dying... but of dying right then and there. During a full blown panic attack, sometimes the person feels as if they are going to go crazy and die, right then and there. Sounds weird, but if it has happened to you, you know what I'm talking about.

These are well known side effects from androgens affecting your CNS.

Lose the EQ.
Lose the Test.

Stick with lower dosages, longer esters, or anabolics like oxandrolone, primo, etc.

Interesting thread, not exactly about anabolics per say, other than it seems some gear affects some people differently than others and some experience panic attacks on gear others don’t.

Having had panic attacks for 30 years and not seeing any increase or decrease while on gear, I have to think for those with Medically diagnosed chronic anxiety, gear is simply not a major contributor to increased anxiety or panic attacks.

I actually feel much better on gear, psychologically pumped and aggressive which helps mitigate my anxiety.

Also once you understand anxiety, you really don’t suffer through the panic attacks, you simply experience the attacks and calm your self physically and mentally. I have experienced thousands of panic attacks, many immobilizing, but never (maybe once or twice) actually thought or feared I was dying. And I believe that is in great part to my Mother who is an MD and has suffered form both generalized anxiety, mitrol valve prolapse and panic attacks all her life. She diagnosed my condition when I was in my early 30’s

Just got off a cycle that contained EQ, and that was the first time i noticed an increase on anxiety. I def blame it on the EQ. However i have been off for about 5 weeks, its calmed down a bit, thank God

sometimes test can help with depression
Ox and Primo and proviron together made me less anxiety and less depressed..
