WTF I read that on one of the sponsors for this sites web page. What r they talking about when they say limb loss. How is that possible? Are they talking about when u get an abcess or infection?

yes

sure you can lose a limb, easy. you get an infection, it spreads and worsens, you get a systematic infection and the tissue dies. i know this is spelling murder but i'm trying for gang green but that cant be the spelling.

i'm sure it's only a matter of time before the anti-steroid commericals play off this...But they won't mention that abscesses are far more common with diabetes and dental issues.

It can happen if you dont pay attention or take care of your body, just be smart about things and you will be alright.

my guess is that you let an abcess grow and grow and grow without treating it properly

I've always found it highly beneficial to inject directly into an erection. You get much better absorption and, in my opinion, sizable and noticible increases in penile mass. Therefore, my question is, if I were to get an infection, could I lose my penis? How fast does it spread? Will I notice some symptoms and will I have time to stop all injections and heal?

Seems like a stretch to say that AAS may result in limb loss. I think it would be far more accurate and realistic to say that AAS may cause infections and/or abcesses. Just my opinion, of course.

Basically if you have an abcess or some sort of infection that you let go too long, not only can it cause you a chunk of your ass, a limb, etc, it can kill you. My friend let an abcess go too long, got a Staph infection, and almost died. In fact I know 2 guys this happened to-and both of them were reusing needles(not sharing them-duh). Both guys were in the hospital 3-4 weeks. One had a baseball sized chunk taken out of his ass and lost 40 lbs. The other guy's wasn't as bad-but it pretty much ended his amateur career as a BB. His last show he got 11th place at nationals in the middleweights. Sucks for him huh?

Anyway, if you have an abcess you'll know. It will be red, swollen, and warm to touch for days and continue to grow. If you let it go to the point where you start getting feverish and weak, you better get your ass to the hospital ER asap. I had an abcess in my tricep once. The Dr drained over 50 cc's of puss from it. Basically my tricep looked like it had a lump the size of a 50 cc bottle of EQ on it. It left a permanent indentation too.

FYI-oral antibiotics alone will not work on an abcess without getting it drained and administering an injectable shot of antibiotics first. For some reason abcesses block the oral antibiotics and prevent them from penetrating the infection.

And I thought I was a smart ass?

i remember getting some anabolic magazine in the mail and there was an article about someone losing a limb from using the same pin over and over. How fucking retarded can you be??? syringes average what? 6 cents each!??!?!

I got an abcess from my wisdom teeth being pulled. That sucked.

In many states pins are illegal and just as tough or tougher to come by than AS. Street price for pokes are $1-$2 each for the less resourceful types of guys.

you can get them mailed to you no questions asked.

There is no association of limb loss and the use of gear.

Period.

You could make the discussion, that there is an association between the misuse of needles and limb loss, however this would be quite a stretch.

If anyone misuse needles, it MAY be heroin users, but there does not seem to be an epidemic of limb loss with heroin users, does there.

This post is insane.

We get enough bad press.

I'll be sure and alert the media. Plan on getting a call from Larry King for an interview. :p

Not everybody likes that kinda thing shipped to their home either. One time I ordered 100 22 g 1 inch pokes that were accidentally sent to the wrong addy. The post office opened it and sent 50 to my house to make sure I was in good health-or so they said? More likely it was to find out exactly why I'm ordering needles. Luckily I was a quick thinker and told 50 I was giving my dogs B-12 shots for an upcoming dog show. I doubt 50 believed me, but I had a legit sounding excuse and didn't break any laws. Still, it sent up red flags I don't need. Not everybody can afford to risk this kind of heat-especially when they already look like a walking Rx garbage can like I do.

its happened, read about it in one of the muscle mags. the guy got a systematic infection which he didnt treat and they had to remove his leg. i dont have the mag or a link but i read it and basic knowledge of physiology would tell you if you leave an abscess and dont treat it will spread and kill the tissue surrounding it. once it gets into your blood stream your screwed.

basic information and not a far stretch of the mind either.

I think that kind of limb loss is caused by stupidity, not steroids. If you have an infection then obviously you have to get it treated.

i'm not saying it couldn't happen because apparently it does? ...but if that idiot valentino could survive his infection without losing his arm ...that would lead me believe that some heavy neglect has to be part of the equasion that would lead one to lose a limb to infection

i never said the shit would fall off in a day. obviously neglict would be an issue. but let it go as far as it can and a limb loss is the result. not hard to see really.

Anyone who loses a limb due to AAS:
1. Deserved it.
2. Hopefully will not reproduce
3. Needs to do more research
