Steroids on CNN...

Damn...it just got over...i tried to post this as fast as i could, guess I'm too slow.

Basically it just talked about a few kids (20 and 17 i think) were pressured to get bigger by their coaches (one baseball, one football) and they ended up injecting themselves with steroids, getting depression ("a common side-effect of steroid use") and committing suicide. Then they interviewed a few pro athletes who said that, although they never used steroids, they do know what it's like to feel pressure to be the best, blah blah blah.

I'm sure they took a good look at the coaches and family support systems before they blamed the deaths on steroids

WTF - AAS has never made me depressed... in fact they lift my spirits a bit while on. I level out again though after the cycle is over. It is amazing how blown out of proportion AAS sides are.

If this was the same shit that I saw...
The 17yo took shitloads of deca along with other shit they didn't name; and he ended up bloating up like a fish. He took a cycle then stopped for a few weeks, then he picked back up again. He treated it like a true addiction.

CNN put their spin on this, like they always do... claim that at 6'4' 180lbs(pre-juice) - that the kid was "big by any stretch of the imagination".

It just goes to show you that the research one does before a cycle is priceless.

Yeah...I think that might have been it...I kinda half watched it, so didn't pick up the details, plus i only caught the last few minutes.

I get pretty bad depression post cycle on AAS , Difference between me and a 17 year old is that Im older more experienced and I know that I need to take anti depressants and I am also prepared knowing that its not me that its the steroids.

My opinion is that its total irresponsibility on the dealers behalf, whoever supplied those kids with AS knowing their age is just as responsible for their death.

I wouldn't go that far ...People need to take responsibility for their own actions, and stop searching for scapegoats :o

Though I do NOT condone AS usage at 17, I would not blame someone who sold them to him :o

Yep.

im not looking to start an argument , but if I were a seller, I would not sell to someone so young, unless I thought they were mature enough. And even then my concious would have a problem with it.

Otherwise there no distinguishing steroid dealers from crack dealers. I personally find this community to be close knit, unlike the crack community which could care less if you overdose. Never met anyone inside our outside the gym that has not tried, at least to the best of their ability to help me.

I know this is a touchy subject , but maybee one that wouldnt be so much in the spotlight if they didnt have 17 year olds to parade all over TV.

If Ronnie Coleman dies, although people will be saddened I doubt there will be much of an outcry that a 40+ year old man died because of years of steroid use. On the other hand a teenager just starting out with his life, even though we know the steroids might or might not be playing a role , the fact still stands that he is 17.

Bro...I'm sure the person who sold it to him wasn't some middle-aged man who knew about the dangers of steroid use and ways to combat the sides. It was probably a buddy of his, who got it from a buddy of his, and so on.

In the end, regardless of where anything came from...it's up to the user to do the research and make the final decision. This kid wasn't smart enough to do that...it's no one else's fault excpet his own...especially not the drugs' fault.

How about this scenario though?
Dealer A sells to reseller (Dealer B) who then resells to a 17 year old? Which one is to blame for selling to this kid?

Ultimately people need to take responsiblitiy for their own actions...
This kid wants to act like an adult and do adult things....he needs to face reprocussions as an adult...not a child....:(
