steriods to heal my rotator

i have a question my friend tore his rotator cuff and he's going to get surgery very soon do u think he can use an AS to recover faster maybe EQ or something like that at a low dose?

No. Rotator cuff injuries are because of tendon strain. AAS strengthen your muscles and generally weaken your tendons to some degree. HGH, on the other hand, may help, but I want to emphasize I am not sure. M'kay.

Glucaosamine-Chondroitin-MSM
Laying off if it (with heavy weights) till it feels a little better....then try some excersices especially for that type of injury....always STRETCH! even know, mobility will help heal....stimulates you reproductive cells in that area.

GOOD LUCK!

teammate of mine did AS during last offseason for that specific shoulder area. I couldn't tell you which AS he used, but he came back strong. But also note that he came back through proper rehab, patience, and building strength SLOWLY. Research it out and I'm sure you'll find it. Remember, rotators are like women....they need a ****load of attention.....tell him to work it slowly.

Anyone had knee surgery?

I thought this would kinda parallel this thread. I just had knee surgery and I need to get back to riding my bike and lifting ASAP before I fall too far behind. My doc isn't all too enthralled with the use of steroids to qicken my reco. but that's his pro. opinion and I've asked several other docs and they say that steroids won't really help in my sit. but if I wanted to, it certainly wouldn't hurt, but they failed to write me an Rx and i didn't want to seem like I was taking their time to get juice.

I guess that's not really relevant, but if any of you have advise or drugs I can ask a doc for an Rx, that would would be pretty cool.

Before your friend goes under the knife, look into prolotherapy. I have an appt for next month for my shoulder/elbow so I cant say for sure if its any good, but it soulds like it has some great potential.

Keep us updated on your therapy. I am sure there are lots of bros. that would be interested.

Had a friend that underwent serious shoulder surgery about 8 years ago. The guy had low testosterone levels and was in his early 50's. He had been taking 1 cc of Deca (200 mg/ml) for replacement therapy (legit) and it was working well for years. He figured he'd be out a while and stopped the Deca after the surgery. His rehab went very, very slow. I advised him to get back on the Deca and within a few weeks he noted considerable progress with his rehab program. His doc told him that his joint was shot and would probably need a shoulder replacement in 6-8 months regardless because of severe arthritis. This was 7 years ago. He is now 60, has full use of his shoulder and lifts pretty aggressively. Never needed the replacement. He is still on the Deca. Both he and his doc attribute the rehab and lack of further degeneration on the Deca.

Regarding tendon damage and AAS. I've seen the animal lit., but there was a paper a few years ago that looked at 4 lifters with tendon ruptures. 2 clean and the other two juiced. They looked at the tendons histologically and found no difference in structure or evidence that AAS had any adverse effects on strength or structure. The issue of adverse effects of AAS on tendons goes well beyond the effects of just AAS and are multifactorial.
