States in which syringes are legal to buy over the counter?

Anybody know in which states it is legal or illegal to buy syringes and needles over the counter? Anyone know about Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, or New Hampshire?

Legal in Texas too.

A while ago Congress passed the "dirty needle law" stating that pharmacies could not refuse to sell a needle to someone over-the counter do to the fact that they may be forcing the individual to go use a used one and get diseased. It makes sense. Why in the hell should needles be illegal? Anyway, they would often only sell you one needle because that's all they were bound to sell by law, hell at least it was one! Usually they'd just sell you what you want and give you a raised eyebrow.

(only lived in Texas for a year, things could have changed.. geeze was gear cheap though! And the sweetest cheapest red hair ganga!...if only I lived near the border again)

i believe the only 2 states you can't buy them in are illinois and california...

It is legal in Arkansas.

Had a lady wait on me at Walmart and when I asked she asked why I needed them. I told her it was not any of her fucking business. She then went over to the pharmacist and after a discussion with him. She brought me my needles. She was just being a nosey bitch.

I do not understand why it would be illegal in any state to buy needles. Do they think we should all share.

south dakota, no problem.

In Minnesota, I have gone to a couple of places where they will only give me 10 at a time, and said I need a prescription for any more than that, I think they are just being assholes about it.

If you have questions about you state just call a phamacy and ask if you have to have a script for needles. There is nothing wrong with asking.

as far as florida goes, the only otc u can buy at a drug store is diebetic, but even then they give u a hard time,.... buy them over the internet... no questions asked!!!;)

CT and RI is not in Ma and not sure about NH the law in RI just changed about 6mths ago before it was a felony just to have a pin no its ok but it is still up to the Pharmacist discretion so be up front with him it seems to work the best but as for me I mail order mine its cheaper and you can get all you want at the store your lucky if you get more than 10 and its around 5.00 way over priced

its not illegal to get them anywhere. i live in fl and have never had a problem getting them. just ask thay sell them to to everyone ad they are cheap as hell to.

I don't know how or where you guys in Illinois are getting them. I know I sure the hell can't get any. Me and about a 100 guys at my gym would love to know.

I know for a fact in Il. they are prohibited and must only be used for industrial purposes. Im from Il. and Farm&Fleet carries them but only in certain sizes. There are not too many around. Got one right down the street. The smallest they have are 21s. You must sign something saying they are for vet purposes. They have syrynges and all. I agree over the net is best.

WRONG.

I don't know where you get this info, but you can get them easily in Florida. Once in a while you will get an asshole that will liey to you and say they are all out, it's probably 50% 50% though.

Hey Italiano, your right on that about Farm and Fleet. My buddy at the gym told me about that, but as far as going to the pharmacy and buying some... it aint gonna happen. Thanx for the websites bud.:D

I also live in Ill. and can get them at Farm & Fleet without any questions, just get them off the shelf and pay. But the net is still the best. I have the best place to get them if you need to know PM me.

10 at a time is legal in NYC. But it's a new law and alot of pharms won't sell them. That's been my experience at least.

Nobody's going to arrest you for receiving mail order syringes. There are far too many legitimate uses for them, not only that worst case is it's a misdemeanor which is little more than a traffic ticket. I'm surprised you aren't more worried about what you put in them, that'll get you into trouble.

I live in tx and I had pharmacies out right refuse to sell it to me with a script. Can someone tell me more about this law that requires they sell it to me?

Illinois, go to farm and fleet, not meening to use a plac'es name, but hell, they
"say" that they are for animals, Bull Sh*t!! Same damn thing, any farm or animal store!!

OTC here in Cali. Arnold made did it:

California Senate Bill 1159
permits over-the-counter sales of up to 10 syringes in counties
and cities that elect to participate in the statewide Disease Prevention Demonstration Project.

In 2004, California joined the list of states allowing nonprescription syringe sales when
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed SB 1159 (Vasconcellos) into law. Since the
enactment of SB 1159, 15 counties (Alameda, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Los Angeles, Marin,
Sacramento, San Francisco, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa
Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, Yolo, Yuba) and 4 cities (Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco,
and West Hollywood) have authorized non-prescription syringe sales as of August 2006, and a
number of others are considering it. In addition to allowing for the purchase of syringes,
SB1159 provides that any number of used syringes, if they are containerized “for safe
disposal” will not be considered illegal drug paraphernalia.
