Starting Over

well as some of you may know, i havent been in the gym for awile..
so im starting over fresh

i was thinking about working my shoulders and traps first
i usually start with my chest and tris

any suggestions on what group MAY be more bennificial??
if that...

When I'm out for a couple weeks I usually like to start on shoulders for some reason too. I really don't know why. It may be because it is more forgiving than deads and squats and I'm just putting off the inevitable(sp?).

I always hit cores for a little while first.. then get into my normal routine.. After injuries and such.. Always feel like I'm real weak, so once I get my cores back up, then I feel a bit stronger with my other lifts.

When I get back after a layoff, I do a whole body routine for the first couple or three weeks at 3x per week plus cardio. Get your general conditioning back up before hammering anything.

I think whole body as well.. or at least hit the muscles on your body that respond faster first

Guess I'll chime in and agree with everyone before me :p

I'd approach it assuming I'm pretty well deconditioned and do whole body, 3 x week, low intensity/high rep and include core.

bah
i usually start of with my chest and tri's low density...i mean LOW lol
just to wake them back up.
i always have the best results from that group......
i guess i'll start with the core, and hit up my shoulders lightly
