starting a resume?

calveless wonder

New member
I been attempting to start my resume to find a part time job but it seems so overwhelming. I really don't know where to start, especially since my job experience is limited mostly because i'm still in college (worked at a pharmacy after which I was self employed for awhile, then was a waiter, then most recently had a paid internship at a mortgage company)

i'm looking for something clerical, anyone know a good website to lay out the basics for resume writing? Most of the jobs im applying for aren't very serious jobs but i'm sure they're looking for at least some basic qualifications.

there are so many on the web.

www.soyouwanna.com has a number of guides to completing tasks which are important to finding a job (resumes, cover letters, etc...).

since you're young/in college, i don't think you have anything to worry about, because you ain't expected to know (or have done) dick (can't say the same for jerkbox).

if you want something that pays an hourly age, and is clerical or data entry, you can check with local temp staffing agencies in addition to the other avenues you would pursue (company websites, monster.com et al., local newspapers, word of mouth, etc...).

sweet, thanks....so you're saying they're not really gonna scrutinize my resume too much?
