On week number 2 of my new 5x5 at school with a workout partner who I found out is actually a reader of this site.(and fucking swole might I add) first time doing squats since my knee injury (some stupid thing where my tendons were too stressed becuz Im under 20 and I played bball when my hamstrings were too sore, cant rmemeber the name, happened 1 week into my last attempt at a 5x5)

after the 4th time in 8 days doing squats, knees are feeling fantastic and hopefully ill be able to toss some real weight back on there soon.

Starting weight= 190
Squats 185 5x5
Bench 205 5x5
Deadlifts 315 5x5
Rows 115 5x5

Will keep this as a reference and keep u posted every 4 weeks or so.

By the way this is the first time living in an apparment where i can cook as much protein/brown rice as i want. so finally I can consume massive amounts of the RIGHT kind of foods like i need, since I dont even buy the junk. Wish me luck.

Knee problem isn't Osgood-Schlatter syndrome is it? Thats caused by over doing it at too young an age (although age range is usually 8-16!).

o and it may be from muay thai too. they didn't know

Muay thai would aggrevate that condition badly (kicking with leg straight etc). I had it when I was younger and I found that acupuncture really helped. Good luck with it and meanwhile careful with the squats!

knees are feeling better, my one knee is still slightly aggrevated after heavier squats but im just iceing it after each workout and thats good enough for me.

just bought 11 lbs of ground beef and 12 lbs chicken today for me and my roomate (hes a douche he wont eat much)

hopefully i can kill most of that food in a week too :p

all the food is gone and lifts are going great.

deadlifted 345 today
squatted 225 for 5 monday
benched 220 for 5 monday
Rows 145 for 5 monday

I feel like i have gained so much mass already its scary thinking this is only week 4. Cant wait to see the end results, unfortunately the only pictures i have from before are from january of last year, i will happily post them up but its from after pledging/ having mono and strep at the same time so im light light light!

My military press seems to be pretty stale, after deads getting heavier my lats are so shot that the wieght really varies from week to week. Overall am very happy tho.

deadlift 375
squat 265
bench 245
rows 180 yates

squats are getting heavy and my knees drive me crazy when i squat. but im good out of the gym so who cares amirite?

you've got a lot of life to live. take your time with the squats to avoid knee injury. sounds like if you keep pushing you'll end up hurting yourself, but whatever floats your boat. i'd probably do the same thing...
