Squats? How much is too much?

Lately, I've been going a little crazy with squats...

I currently do ATF 7 x 6. I'm thinking of cutting that down to 4 x 4 (because I'm trying to get to 315) and planning on adding 3 x 6 box squats. Is this too much? I wouldn't think so because I was originally going to do leg press instead of box, so I figured what the hey.
 
Throw different excersises in there to strengthen the other muscles involved. Do split squats with your back leg on a bench. Smith machine is best for that until you feel comfortable. One legged hack squats. Superset jump squats with lunges. You'll be surprised how much strength you gain by mixing it up. You'll burn more calories too.
 
I'm guessing you can leg press much more than the target weight. Work the stabilization muscles. A strong core will help the rest of your body gain strength.
 
keep doing them squats. as long as you are still making gains. so you are getting 42 total reps in your work sets?
