I meant working up to a heavy single on a box intsead of free squatting to a heavy max, but your right the mental side is the hardest part to go through. You could always focus on conditioning a little longer to insure a full recovery-that will help mentally also-before working back into heavy stuff. Strength takes alot longer to diminish than conditioning.
