Squat problem!

I'm a longtime lifter, recently started to really concentrate on my squat. Paying particular attention to my form. I used to use way too much back when squatting. I've since corrected this and my weights and form have improved greatly.
Now my problem:
Today I did 3 sets of 5 with 405. I was shaking on the way down, real bad. Powered it right up tho.
The week before I did 385 for 3 of 5 with no problem.
Do I have some weak muscle I need to work? Or is it a form problem?
Thanks for any answers,

Sounds to me like you have some weak agonist muscles working on you. It could be anything from calves lack of flexibility and strength or your hip flexors and groin muscles. Ya might want to try making sure your wearing clothes contusive to squating also.
Might be your frequency though..too much heavy squating without taking a light day can do a number on you....

Thanks for the replies. That last workout was the end of an 8 week lifting cycle so I will be taking a break from the heavy weights for about 2 months, and I'm gonna work those hip flexors. Makes sense. Thanks for the props about the weight, tho I gotta tell ya I'm weighing 230.
